if a person is brought back through a consciousness preservation (e.g using elon musks neuralink to connect to a synthetic body) after your human form has died, what's stopping them from coming back if science makes it certain? and if they do come back then where did they go? did they get sent to hell then magically disappeared in front of the devil and woke up in the living world again?

if your consciousness is preserved and you die, and your soul gets sent to wherever your religion sends you and then you're brought back in a new body, what happens to your soul in the afterlife? does it get ripped out of whatever plane it's in?
