Get that dusted, polished, and maybe replace the strings if they're a little weak, and you could literally make millions off of that
Since it's so old and in such good condition it could be worth a lot

I don't know exactly how old it was when he bought it, but it must be around 90 years old. And no, it's not playable, the strings are VERY weak and out of place (also the bow is missing)

Well, It's not mine, it's my grandma's, and she isn't in financial trouble. Also, it would be more likely to go for around $4,000 if it is restored. Also, it was my great great grandfather's
Well just make sure you keep it in good condition, maybe use a violin polish on it once every month or so, and if anyone plays it make sure they know what they're doing and won't risk damaging it
