I'm not going to tell you it'll be ok because I know that won't help. I would suggest packing an emergency suitcase so you feel like you have control over the situation.

We do that dumb thing in the hallways
if you want a nice method to help calm down a bit this is something i use?
Step 1: Breathe in counting to four slowly. Feel the air enter your lungs.
Step 2: Hold your breath for 4 seconds. Try to avoid inhaling or exhaling for 4 seconds.
Step 3: Slowly exhale through your mouth for 4 seconds.
Step 4: Repeat steps 1 to 3 until you feel re-centered.

TO PREFACE THIS, I HAVE ANXIETY. I WAS SITTING ON THE COUCH, WATCHING NEWS WITH MY PARENTS. OUT OF NOWHERE, AN EMERGENCY ALERT CAME ON SAYING A WILDFIRE OUT OF CONTROL WAS SOMEWHERE ONE HOUR AWAY FROM US. I'M (MAYBE IRRATIONALLY) SCARED FOR MY LIFE.
