if you changed all the laws of your country, gave everyone equal rights, spoke out against tyranny, ended world hunger, as soon as you die, everything is out of your hands. everything after you died is now in the hands of the next generation, of other people. your beautiful world you might have changed could be ruined by the future generations, with nothing you could do about it.
in fact, were polluting the world that our ancestors spent millions of years inhabiting, and building onto. we take hundreds of wars, every drop of blood spilt before us, for granted. everything our ancestors did for us led up to this. they gave us this world. and now were ruining it.
no matter anything you do in the world, you could end world hunger, save cuba or syria, the outcome is inevitably the same. that wont matter when humanity and everything they worked for is eventually destroyed.
does that mean that everything we strive for is meaningless, and everything we dont is taking our ancestors millions of years of work for granted? does that mean that by not striving for anything were condemning our future generations?
