Maybe using Linux is crazy, but those people who use ancient operating systems like Windows 95, 98, Me, XP, etc. are lunatics. They are no longer supported, and have a zillion viruses for them just waiting anxiously for someone to install them. If you use an older OS, like Macintosh system 7 or something, then you're fine. I have only heard of a few practically harmless viruses for such 70s and 80s machines. The early internet was an absolute ZOO. If you use a late 90s OS, then I suggest you upgrade if you can.

Imma be honest, Linux isn't exactly for people who want ads in their OS.

But actually, sure you have to use extra steps to do SOME things, but Linux is fine mostly.

And there are, like, 500000 distros, so you can use what fits your needs.

And since "not many people use linux", no one makes viruses for Linux. But there's millions of viruses for Windows, or, if you are insane, ChromeOS or MacOS.
