Yeah, it's only polyamory if everyone involved is consenting.

If you have three people dating each other and all are ok with it, that's valid.

If one person is dating two other people who aren't dating each other, and all three are ok with it, that's valid.

If you are dating multiple people, and said people don't know, and/or don't approve THAT'S cheating.
