Not a cryptid, rather a myth but here i go:

polybius was a myth of an arcade machine brought in to arcades by men in black suits in 1981 (assumed cia/fbi guys), a game described perfectly by its visuals of shapes flying all over the screen.

Its victims commited (some only attempted, such as a close family member of mine) suicide after playing it, and the men in black took the machines away as soon as they came in less then a month, leaving only a myth behind. (And a story from said close family member of mine, so whether its a myth or a real story is debatable)

Obviously i've researched tons of other cryptids/myths (such as the chupacabra), but polybius is the one i know the most about, which is why it was the one i chose to tell you about

(Also i shortened everything so it'd fit in a comment, cutting out non important details)
