I'm confused and need help

Ok so I've known him for a while, first met him in DC almost a year ago when I was looking for another friend of mine who went to his school
Important thing about him, he's a trans man and prefers "men," and I'm biologically male but genderfluid
So I had a revelation about two weeks ago that I liked him, and at this point I've been friends with him for around 7 months, and we talk a lot and stuff
I've been trying to figure out if he likes me back and all, and using the help of a friend to try to figure out what he thinks about me.
Big picture things about how he acts around me, he usually holds eye contact, which is hard since I'm like five inches taller, tends to sit or move closer to me when he can, even seemingly intentionally bumping into me when there's plenty of room elsewhere, and seems animated when talking to me
A few of the big things that have happened, ordered based off how important I think they are. 1. The other day in our English class, we were doing this lit circles thing where we go around and read a bit of some different books to see if we think we'd enjoy them or not. We were kinda making fun of one author's name when I said that "if I ever have a kid, imma name it lasagna" to which he replies "no you won't, I'll kill you before you can have kids," which would've just been normal if he hadn't immediately followed up with "wait don't think about it like that," effectively making me think about it way more
2. I don't remember when this was, but I know for sure it was right before our bell 3, which is algebra. We were talking, and he said that as soon as he got his license he was gonna use it to get out of the house a lot, and I replied saying that he could come chill at my house since my parents are accepting and me and one of my siblings aren't cis. He just replied with "yeah," to which I replied "wait I'm like 6 months older than you I'm gonna be getting my license way earlier so I could pick you up and drive you around," and to this he was super enthusiastic about
I'm really confused about this and I need some of y'all's help with figuring out what he might think and what I should do

Ok, so I had an EXTREMELY similar situation happen to me that you're in, and it's confusing and drove me crazy, so I understand. So here's what I think. (I might be wrong because, of course, I'm not him, and I don't know the exact situation. I am using prior knowledge to write this. Also I'm sorry you have to read all this.)

Holding eye contact is a big thing, most people don't do that. Most people think of it as weird and awkward, but if he does it, that's a big sign showing he's comfortable around you! Moving closer to something/someone you feel comfortable around is a sign! If he makes excuses to be around you, to, *Ahem*, "Accidentally" or on purpose touch you (NOT SEXUALLY, like touching your shoulder when your laughing or grabbing your hand to show you something) that's a sign!
So after reading your "story" (Sorry Idk what to call it), I've pretty much concluded that it is LIKELY that he likes you. (AGAIN, I am not a professional, I speak from experience)
So here's what you can do: You can maybe do the things I've listed as "Signs" above. Maybe if he tells you something about himself, bring it up and he'll likely think, "Wow! They remember something about me!". Invite him to places, make inside jokes that crack you two up, embarrass him in a funny way (It works, but don't go overboard. If it isn't funny to him, drop it). And of course, just be yourself! People like you more if you seem authentic! But remember to be subtle, don't go and use all of these at the same time.
