It actually causes more cheese, just not much.

EX: 1lb of cheese with a volume of 5in³ with holes that remove 3in³ of volume in actual cheese 

Subtract

In total 2in³ of "real" cheese

Multiply by 2 for the "Upscale"

2lb of C with V=10in³-6in³ 

Subtract 

T= 3in³ of "real" cheese.
