He was getting old, and the day before he was coughing up blood on the porch.

I remember when I had a dog which I loved so much that died because of old age

Yea mine too. Yesterday my mom had him on the porch and he started coughing blood.
Next day he was dead.

You know, you could've have gotten him to the vet at the first sign of blood
but this is still sad

We decided not to take him to the vet because at that point the vet wouldn't do much for him, he was bleeding internal because of his age.
We couldn't stop it either way.

Damn, that's pretty sad to hear

Yea... But I was expected it to happen so as bad as it sounds, I wasn't phased too much, I had come to terms with it mostly before he died.
