We have the ability to make our own free choices, God just happens to know in advance what we will choose

The Abrahamic faiths encourage a balance between hope and fear in Allah
Hope and fear in anything is healthy
Fear that you might f**k up the test
Hope that you do good
Fear that you’re actions will have consequences
Hope that Allah is merciful

And he will forgive you, regardless, as long as you truly mean it

dude i’ve said this multiple times before

ok so i’ll do everything god has predicted that i do. if i do one thing that he hasn’t predicted i will do, then he isn’t omnipotent.

if i have done everything he predicted, every millisecond, then i don’t have free will.

You have the go***mn motherf**king power of free will
Whether it’s predicted or not, YOU, yes you, YOU have the power in yourself that decision
Do you feel like you can type these comments? Or do you blankly stare at a screen and type emotionlessly?

he knew i wouldn’t repent, he knew that when i was a baby, dude. and hey he still kept me around. if i wasn’t going to ever repent in my lifetime and god knew that, then i was pretty much born to be a sinner

aight imma go now toodles

You aren’t born a sinner
Islam and Christianity is NEVER about what you have done
It’s about what you will do
Your future doesn’t label you back in time

I’m not born a sinner, yeah. But I will sin and I won’t repent. God knew this and still sent me down to earth. I could’ve avoided sinning by not being born, but yet even though he KNEW I was gonna sin, he still put me down there

I was pretty much destined to be in hell from the day I was born

he put me on thsi earth just to send me to hell?
1 up, 1y,
1 reply
No, actually
You come into this works and mortality with only one thing in your brain: obey him
Shaytan is there, suggesting you to every bad action (or, what is to be considered bad)
He is literally an evil advisor
But he doesn’t actually make you do it
It IS free will
Every day, Shaytan tells me to call my brother a f**king asshole
I don’t make that decision
The pure fact that your are able to decide against doing something bad is proof if you’re free will

your future is already planned out for you though, isn’t it? since god knows what you’re gonna do, there isn’t really multiple paths. it’s all planned.

he put me down here with a plan of what i’m gonna do, and then sent me to hell for following the path that he created for me
1 up, 1y,

He didn’t create your path
You did
He simply knows
Doesnt mean he knows

if he knows my future path then i don’t have free will, what i do is pretty much settled
0 ups, 1y
He knows, but you still have the power of choice
That is the basis of humans and their distinction from angels
I bet if Shaytan wanted to her turn some Angels away from Allah
But he came
Angels are emotionless
They simply follow orders
This sounds retarded and I shouldn’t say it but they’re irl npcs

The idea of God's knowledge of everything we do and our free will is a complex one, and it can be difficult to understand how they work together. However, the Bible teaches that God has given us free will, which means that we have the ability to make choices and decisions for ourselves (Deuteronomy 30:19-20, Joshua 24:15, Galatians 5:13).

the bot also explains how god just knows our future but we still have free will, but that literally contradicts itself.
1 up, 1y
God didn’t make you choose a decision, you chose it

He just happened to know what you would choose because he is omnipotent

As Ryn said, your ability to choose whether or not to sin or do something bad is proof you have free will

if my fate is set in stone that’s not really free will.

god KNEW that when i was a fetus, i would be sinning and won’t repent. and he still put me on earth to make me go to hell.

what a fair and just god

AI says

Free will is a central component of Christianity. God has given us the ability to make choices and decisions for ourselves, even if those decisions lead to sin. While God knows everything that will happen, including our choices and actions, it does not mean that those choices and actions are predetermined or set in stone. We are still responsible for the decisions we make.

As for the idea that God would create someone knowing that they will sin and not repent, it's important to remember that God desires for everyone to be saved and come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). However, God does not force anyone into salvation or repentance. Ultimately, it is up to each individual to accept or reject God's offer of salvation.

It's understandable to have questions and concerns about these issues, but it's important to remember that God is loving and just, and we can trust in His plans and purposes for our lives.

if the choices aren’t set in stone, then he doesn’t know what i’m gonna do, unless he knows every variation of my path. and even then, that means he’s not omnipotent, because he doesn’t know whcih path i’ll take.

you’re right, he doesn’t force it onto anyone. so he knew i wouldn’t repent (sorry to disappoint you), and yet he still put me on this earth.

if an atheist was deemed an atheist from the moment they were born and got sent to hell, i honestly don’t see how that’s fair and just

God is all-knowing and has perfect knowledge of all things, including the choices and actions that we will make. While we do have free will, God knows all possible outcomes and choices that we could make, and He is not surprised by any of them. It's not that God doesn't know what we will do, but rather that His knowledge does not force us to make certain choices.

God desires for all people to repent and turn to Him, but He also gives us the freedom to make our own choices. He does not force us to choose Him or to follow His ways.

Regarding your last point, the Bible teaches that God is just and fair in His judgment. He judges us based on our actions and the choices we make, and not based on our circumstances or how we were born. God loves all people and desires for all to come to repentance and faith in Him (2 Peter 3:9).

so he doesn’t know what I’ll do, but he knows all the possible choices I’ll do?
0 ups, 1y
I get how it can be confusing

God is timeless, so He knows everything that has happened, is happening, and will happen. That doesn’t mean He is directly controlling it (He could control everything if He wanted to, but He voluntarily leaves that to human free will)

So technically yes, He does know if you won’t repent or not, but He still wants you to do so

That's not gods fault. You're lucky enough to have life and he has given it to you hoping you will repent for your sins.

he knew I wouldn’t repent and still sent me down to earth?
