It sucks that this stuff is still happening on both sides, that people are still being deliberately transphobic AND people aren't getting the right mental treatment and Don't get me wrong I'm not justifying what the kid did but it's huge how many problems can be solved with the right mental help still though I am in NO WAY justifying these unspeakable horrible actions

The murders were symptomatic of the peer pressure and rejection this kid received. It doesn't matter what minority you are, what demographic you're part of. If you're bullied day in and day out, that's enough to make anyone snap. It becomes exacerbated if the parents don't support/love you. Working in the mental health field, mental health is a very real thing.

Facts may not care about feelings, that's true. However, humans have feelings, and they care about facts. As a species, we thrive when we work together, not when we fight each other. People trying to destroy PC culture, being polite and respectful is a detriment to our society. You shouldn't suspend the facts from people, but you should exercise tact. We practice it to some degree somewhere. We should practice it everywhere - that's human decency.
