Okay, I have a bit of a story that happened a week ago from the tornado outbreak.
It was around…let’s say 1:15 AM?
Now, there was a large supercell headed towards my house. (We live in Tennessee)
Since bad weather usually dodges my area, I said “It ain’t gonna hit us, we’re good.”
Right as I said that, it got issued a Confirmed PDS Tornado Warning.
The supercell had shifted and was heading straight for my hometown.
The hook on this cell was very well-defined, velocity was insane, and on our county’s severe camera, we could see a large wedge tornado within a lot of lightning and rain.
My mom made us evacuate our house, because we live in a mobile home.
We had to go to the county to our south to get away from the storm.
So, that’s what we did.
But we aren’t done there.
Turns out there was another supercell headed down where we were going.
The supercell followed us.
That storm had dropped a big tornado just a few hundred feet in front of us, so we had to find somewhere to get away from it.
We had to stop at a Waffle House, which ironically enough, was close by, around two miles out?
When we got there, we didn’t know that the tornado had touched down and was headed our way.
My sister pointed the tornado out first, and screamed “TORNADO! THERE’S ANOTHER TORNADO!”
My mom was puzzled.
She then found the tornado herself, and told our dad, which was in his car.
We had to run into the Waffle House, which was about a quarter mile away.
That Waffle House had ✨jUiCy WiNdOwS✨ on all sides.
We had to stay there until 3 A.M.
(Missed Details: My sister pointed out a Tornado Warning from the county, but my mom did not receive it. We also had to bring our dog along.)
