I’d recommend using two modules

After getting to Munar orbit, transfer one or two Kerbals into the lander and leave one in the mothership. The mothership stays in orbit while the lander lands. Then go back up, rendezvous and dock, transfer back, ditch the lander, and fly back home

just like the real ones, i am pretty bad at docking things together though

Just point them at each other using AP
