I feel like you are referring to an argument from a few weeks ago. it was about the fact that the show had queer characters, and the op said that it was "too much" or "annoying." saying that queer characters don't belong in shows is homophobic, it wasn't about the fact that they didn't like the show itself.

There is a difference between representing lgbtq characters and making it all about lgbtq characters, we are all human

The show was steven universe. LGBTQ was not the focus, simply an aspect of the characters. The focus was an intergalactic civil war and a young boy learning of his heritage.

Then they should keep it as that

Steven Universe was one of the first cartoons to have lgbtq rep. You want to take that away? Rebbecca sugar fought so hard for this to happen. If you don't want queer shows, you are welcome to disagree, but go watch the straight ones instead, instead of complaining about the little hope we have.

I like lgbtq representations, but they don't need to steal too far from the plot

It is all relevant to the plot in some way. The main Gay parts are the fact that Garnet is a fusion, and that Pearl was in love with Rose.
(rewrote this part like 5 times because I kept overexplaining the plot of SU it is a really good show 😅)
But they don't have to be important to the plot-- queer characters are allowed to just... exist.

I do really recommend Steven Universe though, if not for the Queer rep, for the characters, the plot, and the accurate representation of tough topics like abusive relationships, anxiety, and war. It is very deep and well-thought-out, with a lot of good twists that are well-written.
