The "natural rainbow" is incorrect. Newton invented it to be that way while experimenting with prisms BECAUSE 7 was considered a holy number. Originally he recognized red, yellow, green, blue, and purple, but then added orange and indigo. Indigo is hardly an independent color at all, as it's more just a shade of blue rather than a color on its own.
