The second discovery is pretty obvious. Imgflip needs to impose an input video limit to save bandwidth.
However, the first discovery is pretty interesting, because I never knew that certain video types required Imgflip Pro in order to be previewed. You can still post the GIF, but you need Pro to modify it.
