It could happen though, since Portal is in the Half-Life universe
Now I know how Gman appears in random places so quickly.

In Portal 2, the Borealis is an experiment ship
And in Half-Life 2 Episode 2, the Borealis is a mysterious ship that contained an immensely powerful and dangerous secret most likely involving portals and teleportation.

It's $10, and worth the money.
Portal 2 expands on the first one and it's genuinely amazing
