Ever heard of the Decepticons from Transformers? If not, they are (at least) 50 foot tall, giant, evil robots who are at war with the heroes of the franchise, the Autobots. They also shapeshift into vehicles and everyday objects because multiple times in the G1 theme song, it says "robots in disguise".
