LORE: His parents were murdered in a "structural accident" (it was staged as one but evidence of foul play was uncovered). His foster parents (the murderers) ran a number of scientific experiments on him. The last one done before the foster parents were arrested caused him to mutate.

The mutation altered his body, giving him feline like features. He became part cat as a result of the mutation. He retained his human features, but his second set of ears make it difficult for him to hide his kitty features (a lot of people like it and think it's cute).

Despite the trauma and abuse, he's very friendly and easy to get along with. A number of people discovered he loves to receive headpats and is useful for stress relief and cheering him up (if you're lucky, you might hear him purr!)
