The origin story of “Sayori and Sephiroth” explained; Back in 2020 when Sephiroth joined Smash, Sayori was already there in Smash as of the Kashiko AU. It wasn’t often that I saw Doki Doki Literature Club and Final Fantasy 7 crossovers, so I tried to imagine a hypothetical interaction between Sephiroth and another Doki, since “if no one else was going to do it then I’ll do it myself”. I eventually imagined Sephiroth interacting with the other Dokis and ended up going with Sayori since I felt their hypothetical reaction would be the most interesting given that they were polar opposites with interesting backstories. But little did I know, I would sooner or later find more reasons to call Sayori and Sephiroth polar opposites
