Mr. Dunn: Samantha, I really feel for you, but it's way too complicated to add other days...
Samantha: It really isn't. Just ask some of us. We'd be happy to tell you when our holidays are...
Mr. Dunn: I'm sorry, Samantha. You'll just have to follow the school board.
Later:
Alyssa: what did they say?
Samantha: They said they couldn't do that for me.
Alyssa: What?
Samantha: I know.
Alyssa: I believe your holidays are your right to miss school. You deserve time off if we get time off for Christmas.
Samantha: That's what I've been trying to say! The school should allow kids to miss school for all religious holidays, or none.
Alyssa: Remember all those historical figures? Do you think they just gave up? Samantha, you shouldn't give up.
Samantha: You're right, Alyssa. I know what I have to do.
Samantha goes online and makes posts on YouTube about needing to miss school for Jewish holidays, and always worrying about catching up with work. She also mentioned that the school only allows time off for Christian holidays and not any other religious holiday. She gets many people to protest outside of school including some kids who go to her school.
