i actually think that withered freddy is still withered freddy, because in fnaf 2, phone guy says that they upgraded the older robots (fnaf 1 freddy) with newer technology to make them behave better, but they were just too ugly and too scary for children, so they just threw them in the backroom so they could scrap their parts to build the toy animatronics.

Yeah but how did they upgrade something from 1993 (FNAF 1 Freddy) when it was 1987.
