Sunday, March 19: I feel like something’s coming. The flames out of the ground, the blue flames, they are evermore frequent. Mabel’s pig, who was it, Waddles? The pig is squealing. And I think Mabel’s going insane. She’s not the happy, energetic, optimistic girl I remember her as. She’s…. just not herself. As I’ve said before, if that earthquake comes, if I see a roof beam coming toward my sister, I don’t know if I should save her. I don’t know if I want to save her. Perhaps I should report this to the authorities who keep snooping around. I’ve asked Stan about it. Stan doesn’t care. Of course he doesn’t. Must’ve been around September of last year when he started snorting the coke and looking at kids the way he does. Things are getting bad around here. I’ll, uh, see you guys when I see you.
