We have a house in Florida and apparently there was a giant yellow gecko living in. The house as well and it has babies :/

You can essentially go to any forest and it is guaranteed you will see a mushroom of some sort (I'm sort of a mushroom nerd)

every mushroom ive seen i was told not to touch it

So even if a mushroom is extremely toxic, it will not affect you if you just touch it, only if you digest it. Trust me, I have held a Death Cap mushroom (The most toxic mushroom in the world) and it did not affect me
