One time, my party and I (A wizard) escaped from the brig on a large ship and started to escape by rowboat. The guards aboard the ship also started to pursue us on two different rowboats. About a minute into the chase, I cast flaming sphere and hurled it at one of the rowboats. It hit and burst into flames. The other rowboat, seeing what happened to the first one, started to row the other way.
