FR though The Last Jedi kinda ruined Luke's character

How though, it kept him consistent.

Vader was a vile man who had killed countless Jedi and many more rebels. The fact that Luke spared him at all is a testament to his character. Meanwhile, Ben Solo has done nothing wrong, yet, and the fact that Luke even considered to kill his nephew so soon is a testament to how Disney disrespected his character

What a backwards thing to say. You're treating it as though he even swung his saber at Ben Solo. He didn't. Visions are something that is known for the Skywalkers to have. Anakin with his mother and Padme, Luke with seeing his friends on Bespin. Luke saw the same visions with Ben Solo. Han, Leia, and millions of other lives would have their blood on his hands because he failed to act and stop his nephew when he could have done so. Yet, he spared him more mercy than he spared vader.

You're implying that Luke carried out the sentence before he was guilty; this isn't the case.

I mean, he IGNITED HIS SABER NEXT TO HIS NEPHEW WITH INTENT TO KILL. Just because he regretted it part way through and never actually attacked him doesn’t make him innocent. I’m saying the fact that he acted on seeing a vision bad in an otherwise good student is out of character, and nothing like how he spared his father, who had already tried to kill home in the past, and already was a monster, but Luke spared him because he still saw god in him. The two scenarios you have in the meme are nothing alike, really.

Intent and action are two different things.

If Vader was as good as he suggested, and Luke was as dedicated to the cause as fans allege, he would not have struck Vader that way. In the books, it is described that Luke actually lost his control there. In the sequel, Luke did better, he restrained himself.

So, Luke struck down a man who was guilty of his crimes, and he didn't strike down a "boy" who had not yet done anything. Sounds like Luke improved over the years.

Those're the facts whether you like them or not.

"the fact that he acted on seeing a vision bad in an otherwise good student is out of character,"

Ah, you didn't read the books. You don't know. Not your fault.
