There are even non-Christians celebrate it
I understand why they should get those holidays off but those holidays are known to be for Jews, and they don't make up too much of the population
Like Mardi Gras, people don't get time off for that

They are. I have teachers who miss school because of their religious holidays and they ain't even Jewish.

I wouldn't miss school. School is eight hours of my day. Christmas is only important to me because I'm Christian. The only thing I'd needa do that day is praise God
Other than that, it means nothing, therefore there's no point in missing that day
