Today's topic: Toy time galaxy

Hello, and good afternoon! I had to build a whole new floor in the Rain World tower to get this set up, gods. But anyways! Welcome to my new show, the Afternoon show! Since so many Late night shows air at the same time, I decided to air it in the afternoon! Note that schedules change sometimes, after all my ADHD ain't gonna let any organization in my head slide. But that's besides the point! Today our topic is..... *Me imitating a drumroll* Toy Time Galaxy!

So, what is Toy Time Galaxy? A level from one of my favorite games of all time! Super Mario Galaxy! Why am I talking about it? Because I just played through it and I wanna talk about it!

Like most full levels, Toy Time Galaxy has 6 stars: 3 main ones, a secret one, a comet, and a purple coin level. So let's dissect each one one by one.

Star One: Heavy Metal Mecha-Bowser: The baseline for the levels in the galaxy. You start out on a circular train track, and an upbeat, high-pitched rendition of the Super Mario Bros ground theme plays. On the Train Tracks, two toy trains circle it. On each train, a toad brigade npc is on it. The first train has Captain Toad on it, who sings happily about how fun this is. The second train has Hint Toad on it, commenting on how, despite the fun, they should be working. eventually, you reach a launch star to save yourself from the party pooper that is hint Toad, arriving at a lively lego planet. This planet has Gearmo npc's (Yes that's what those guys are called) who keep on talking about how their friends and family got lost. On this planet there are little pink stripes, which bend gravity in a way I cannot put into words. Anyways, you leave the planet, and go to the next. After that, you go into a planet filled with conveyer belts. You must traverse this planet by using the Spring Mushroom (Which sucks, btw), and since the Spring mushroom sucks, I just skipped using it, and went to the next planet.

The next planet is a small one, requiring you to open a giant jar and use the Launch Star in it. You're supposed to use the *scoff* Spring mushroom, but I just skipped it because why not. After this, you go to the final planet, and the name-sake of the level, Mecha-Bowser. A gigantic metal toy robot that kinda looks like Bowser. You have to climb up him and destroy his chest, then his arms. After that, guess what? Spring Mushroom. I skipped using it as always, and just destroyed the robot and got the star.

Review: 8/10 too much spring mushroom

Star 2: Mario meets Mario (I kid you not, that's the level title.)

Mario lands in the train planet again, this time the two trains are right next to each other. The 2 toads make their remarks, and you launch off to the next planet. On this planet, (Which looks suspiciously like F.L.U.D.D) you have to collect 5 star chips to get the launch star to appear. You do that, mess around with a screw, and head off to the next planet. The next planet is... the Mario planet? The level is THAT short? Weird. Anyways, we find ourselves on a gigantic 8-bit Mario. The red is lava and the Brown-green thingies are disappearing platforms.

You platform to collect Silver Stars and... That's it, that's the level. That was quick.

Level review: 7/10 too short

Star 3: Hopping Down Ice Lane

Mario, once again, goes to the train platform and takes a launch star. He arrives at two columns of cake. And get this: You need to use the 🤢 Spr**g Mushroom. After an unfortunate use of the power-up, we find ourselves on a conveyor belt with chocolate walls popping up and down. After that, we land on our next planet: the cake one. It's nothing special. Just platform on plates and cake and go to the next planet. The next planet is an ice planet, with Popsicle sticks to climb and ice cream to scale.

After going down an icy path, you launch into a large cake, with toads and a secret area. Not covering the secret area because that would be boring. The toads say stuff about either how tasty it is, or talking about how to blow candles. Lo and behold, that's the solution. Spin attack the candles, and launch your way out there. The final planet is against the recurring miniboss, the Undergrunt Gunner. You're supposed to use the Spr**g Mushroom to beat him, but you can just jump up to him and damage him like that. Collect the star, and bam!

Level review: 9/10 an epic level

Next up we'll quickly talk about the Secret and comet stars. Both take place on a weird blocky planet, and both require you to step on flipswitches to spawn the star. The difference is that the comet makes those weird things you can find on Stone Cyclone faster. That's it. That's the difference.

Uhhhh review of them? 6/10 too dumb and bland and short.

Finally let's cover the post-game purple coin star: Luigi's purple coins.

This is an infamous star. You know how in star 2 you platformed around a Mario? Now you platform on a Luigi. You must collect 100 out of the 150 purple coins to win. Sounds easy, right? WRONG. Instead of lava that simply takes away 1 health point, there's now purple goo that insta-kills you. you must be very careful. Oh and did I mention the 3:00 time limit? Yikes. It's actually pretty fun, though. Running and wahooing on luigi is a blast, while one of the best tracks in the game plays.

Level Review: 10/10, just straight-up perfect.
