warning: very stupid game theory!!!!! Okay. So, I think that Hollow Knight, Dead Cells and Castlevania might take place in the same universe. So, the new Dead Cells DLC, Return to Castlevania, adds content from Castlevania into the game, with two new bosses (Dracula and Death) and (At least) two new areas. This means that Castlevania and Dead Cells might take place in the same universe. On top of that, one of the latest (Named) updates added weapons from various games into Dead Cells, one of these weapons being the Pure Nail from Hollow Knight. The Pure Nail is first found by interacting with a (Hollow Knight) bench. The Pure Nail and the bench being there implies that, at some point (Likely long before the story of Hollow Knight), The Knight traveled through the Dead Cells world. This means that, if I'm correct, Hollow Knight, Dead Cells, and Castlevania all take place in the same universe.
