How many chapters

It's split up into acts and intermissions rather than chapters.
A total of 7 acts but it goes kinda like this
Act 1: Act 1
Act 1: Act 2
Act 1: Act 3
Act 1: Act 4
Act 1: Intermission
Acti 1: Intermission 2
and so on an so forth. This isn't exact, I just used Act 1 as an example.
The first 3 acts are rather short but increase in length as they go.

In total, Homestuck has 8,129 pages and has over 800,000 words

So if you calculate that it would be about 1.4 million words

Homestuck is the longest webcomic on the internet.
While nominally a webcomic, Homestuck consists of a combination of static images, animated GIFs, and instant message logs. Generally, pages included a single panel, and navigational links to successive pages are phrased similarly to commands in interactive fiction games. Additionally, unlike previous works from Andrew Hussie which exclusively relied on GIF images for animation, Homestuck introduced complex animations and browser games made with Adobe Flash, many involving contributions from fan artists.
