James: "Is everything okay?"

???: huh-? yeah, i'm fine. just school life and having to work here *Sets his food in front of him*

James: "Don't work yourself too hard, I'm James by the way."

Corey: ...thanks, and im corey

James: "I know this sounds weird but would you mind having a chat with me after you're done?"

Corey: -? what for...?

James: "A new job."

Corey: hm... if im not given twenty things to do after my shift, sure

James: "Don't forget, that's how people get stuck in poverty."

Corey: ...*slowly nods*

James: *He begins eating his food*
"Here."
*He hands them his business card*
"Use this."

Corey: ...but, i kind of have to, i need the money and breaks don't really exist anymore for me

James: "Then that's precisely why you should- I have an idea..."

Corey: ...?

James: "If you quit right now and work for me I'll have you working the job of your dreams."

Corey: hm... alright.

James: "Go on then, I'm a busy man."

Corey: *Nods and goes to his boss*

James: *He watches with excitement*

Corey: alright *He opens his eyes and his sclera seemed black for a second then they turned back into white*

James: *They're suddenly both in an office and James is trying to contain his laughter*

Corey: *Looks at him* im built to be sketchy *Walks forward, the floor seemed stained from... black substance but it soaked into the ground and seemingly disappeared, not staining the ground or anything*

James: "Then what are you planning on doing with all this?"

Corey: thanks, i guess... also, corey is my human form name... my true name is corrupt.

James: "I'd rather have you on my side than against me."

Corey: *Arrived in a button up shirt and semi worn out jeans* i'm here

James: "Hello again, Corey?"

Corey: something that doesn't require... much experience

James: "Well what are skilled at?"

Corey: im good at giving service and... -whispers- fighting, mostly killing

James: "I suppose I can work with that."
*He enters a nearby corner shop*

Corey: a job, obviously... *Looking at the weapons*

James: "I'm assuming that you have a criminal record."

Corey: hey

James: "Did I already tell you that I'm not the one interviewing you?"

Corey: oh- okay

James "Come on then."
*He motions for them to come closer*

Corey: *Follows him*

James: "Close your eyes for a second."

Corey: uh- alright *Closes eyes*

James: *He taps them on their shoulder*
"You can open your eyes now."

Corey: *Sighs* fine. ill show you. *Black substance formed on his body, making him grow taller and his skin turned dark almost gray and black stains appeared under his eyes*

James: "Look what we have here..."
*He walked around them*
"You're a pretty powerful person."

Corrupt: fine. ill transport you there and leave. *A pentagram appeared under James and beamed him up, teleporting him to where his meeting was* now for me. *He teleported the same way*

James: *He turned to Corrupt*
"Some privacy please?"

*Corrupt wasn't there*

James: "I-"
*He turned back to the people and took a seat*
"Sorry about that, I've got to go but you can take this in exchange."
*He teleport out, reappeared with a stack of money and dropped it on the table*
"Call me later!"
*He disappeared and tried to find Corrupt*

Corey: got it.

James: "Goodbye."
*He vanishes*

Corey: - huh, cool *Unphased by the fact he's in a completely new place*

James: "Tell me when to stop."
*He continues to switch them from building and shop top shop, pausing for five seconds each time*

*Waiting until he spotted an assassin job*
Corey: stop

James: *They are in a warehouse surrounded by different weaponry*
"Are purposefully trying to pick the sketchiest one?"

Corey: ...*shrugs* alright *He'd step forward and a pillar of black substance erupted from the ground and sent James flying, the pillar fell into strands and disappeared* this'll be fun *Approaches James*

James: *He seemed pretty unfazed as it hadn't left any damage only for him to disappear and reappear behind Corey*
"Such power."
*He delivers a flurry of blows*

*They seemed to just pas through him*
Corey: *Grabbed his wrist* cool trick *Slammed him onto the ground and a large pentagram appeared underneath him and fired a large dark gold beam, engulfing James, than a black substance hand appeared and grabbed him, then shoves him incredibly hard through the ground and threw him into a wall*

James: *He vanished the second Corey touched his hand and reappeared out of sight*
"Are you trying to wreck this place?"

Corey: hey, you wanted a fight and im giving you one

James: "I'm calling this thing off."

Corey: *frowns* fine

James: "Before I get you working I just want to ask one thing, how come you were working in a café of all things?"

Corey: *Shrugged* it seemed like a sold deal for me, especially since im not fully human

James: "Go on then, if you're not fully human then what are you?"

Corrupt: ...*Scoffs, then snickers, then starts laughing* Oh, people like you are why I love this planet!

James: "Oh? Really now?"
*They teleported to a gym full of people*

Corrupt: *Unphased* don't you get it through your thick skull? *Stomps and the area changed to a dark forest* i don't rot. and i dont starve. that's what makes humans pathetic little creatures... but, i gotta hand it to them... their blood is quite a tasty snack....

James: "Ooh, continue to talk like that edgelord."
*He rapidly switched their location*

*It didn't work*
Corrupt: said the one who literally let thousands of people rot.
*James suddenly felt an otherworldly force on him*
Corrupt: you're in my world now, and... hm... how should i say it... Bad guys like you aren't welcome...

James: "'Thousands of people?' who do you think I am?"

Corrupt: dont play dumb.

James: "What you want me to say? I'm a big, bad businessman?"

Corrupt: you already said enough making that pathetic threat.

James: "So what's next? You can kill me right here, right now and you'll be hunted for the rest of your life or you can let me free and I'll have you working for me, maybe you could even take my place one day."

Corey: *Shrugs and waits, arms crossed*

James: *He reappears*
"Apparently you're going to him now."

Corey: cmon. i may be a being of corruption but i have manners.

James: "Don't act too confident now."
*He teleported them both into a seemingly empty office room*

Corey: -? *Looked around*

James: "They were just here a minute ago, I swear!"

Corrupt: *Shrugs* well, feel lucky im not evil like how humans think i am

James: "I don't see an evil person, I see someone who seeks a real challenge."

Corrupt: *raises an eyebrow* what're you getting at?

James: "I'm saying that if you work with me I'll have you living your best life. But if you don't-"
*They were teleported to a small, old shack*
"You'll be left here to rot."

Corey: well, you told me to come here, so, im here

James: "I know, they're coming. Just a couple more minutes."
*He vanishes*

Corey: *Gets close to him*

James: "Not to sound rude but I'd watch what you're about to say."

Corey: *Chuckles* James, pal, buddy, *His tone seemed to harden a bit* Don't tell me I missed a meeting for a new job

James: "I'll go get them right now!"
*He rushed into another door and closed the door behind him*

Corey: *Sighs and ran his hand through his hair*

*Talking can be heard from outside of the room*

Corrupt: ...here's my proposal. *Black substance constricted him* how about instead of being a cliche of a businessman that kills people who dont work for him, be someone who's considerate for mortals. and what i mean by that in a way you'll probably understand, is stop killing or i won't hesitate to drain your body of your blood and let you rot like those mortals. understand?

James: *He pauses for a moment before answering*
"I accept your offer."

Corrupt: *smirks, revealing rows of sharp teeth* good. *The substance disappeared in strands similar to a spider web*

James: "I know this is a bad time but I do have a meeting right now."

Corey: *In a tree, on his phone* hey

James: *He exits from a corner shop*
"Hey! I'm not going to be the one who's interviewing you by the way. Tomorrow at 2pm, come here."

Corey: ...-mind: im hungry- *Holds hand out and a tentacle shot from it, then he zipped away like a grapple hook*

James: "Oh hey. Would you like to go straight there or tomorrow?"

Corey: hm.... which better works for you?

James: "Right now."

James: *He leaves and begins walking*
"What sort of job are you interested in?"

Corey: ...im not sure if thats a good idea, but, okay *Gets into a fight stance*

James: "Don't worry about hurting me, I can take a 'couple' blows."
*He sounded pretty enthusiastic*

Corey: *Looked up* that must be them

*The inaudible talking continued outside*

Corey: blunt weapons like metal poles, sometimes sharp like knives and other things

James: "Thank you. Do you mind showing them out on me?"

Corey: im not sure what you mean by that, could you elaborate?

James: "I want you to try and fight me."

Corey: nope. clean as mountain air.

James: "If I find out that you've lied to me you'll be banned from all of my establishments."

Corey: if you think im lying then go ahead and look, i wont stop you

James: "I'll have someone do it for me tomorrow. In the meantime, can you tell me what fighting best suits you?"
*He puts his hands in his pockets and walks around*

Corey: well,im pretty adept in hand to hand combat, and also weapon combat, firefights included... -mind: a bit of power fighting as well-

James: "What types of weapons?"

Corey: ...*Takes it and puts it in his pocket* thank you, enjoy your food *Walks off*

James: *He checks his phone and continues to eat*

Corey: *While he was waiting for more customers he looked at the business card* ...

James: *He watches them briefly but goes back to his food*

Corey: *Looks on the card for an address or phone number*

*His address is replaced with an office building but a phone number is still there*

Corey: hm... ill call...

James: *He looks pretty concerned and walks back up to them*
"You need to stop working, I can tell you're being seriously harmed."

Corey: ...? *Looks up at him* how so?

James: "You're working yourself too hard."

Corey: *Still waiting*

*The noise briefly stopped but they continued talking again*

Corey: *Still waiting, getting a bit annoyed*

*The talking stops and a single knock on the door is heard*
