Kewlew how do you take such good photos of birbs

I have a very nice camera and i put out a variety of food to attract them and I just get lucky sometimes 😜

I have a tripod set up in my front window. Its only about 10 feet from the feeder but they still get spooked sometimes 😜

I've only had this camera for about four years. I'm here to tell ya I took some of my best photos with cheap cameras that were even used! some of the cheaper kodak's do a very nice job. Just have fun and do the best you can do with what you have for now 👍

Awesome! By the way, do you have any suggestions for different foods to put out for birds? I’ve been feeding them for 7 years now but I want your opinion. Should I put out peanuts or something?

I know. I’m just asking for kewlew’s take on what some other good foods to put out would be. I’ve been putting out suet, sunflower seeds, and mixed grain out for 7 years now and I want to change it up a bit.

Yea I buy garvers seed mix and i add peanuts and walnuts and sunflower seeds and in the spring i put out grape jelly and oranges for the Oriole's. I live near a seed and feed store that has all that stuff in bulk livestock grade.

You could put out a Suet cage, they love that stuff. You can even make your own with a combination of seeds and lard or any other fat

K cool. Do you have any hummingbird feeders up? If you do, DO NOT use the store bought hummingbird nectar, it is really bad for them because it has artificial sweeteners and artificial colors. I recommended making your own by mixing cane sugar and hot water.

Yes, I put a hummingbird feeder out in the summer, can’t during the winter because it’s cold up here. I make my own and I use cane sugar and hot water. Sad part is I only see hummingbirds a couple times during the summer.

Ok thats good. I have about 5 hummingbirds that show up at my dads farm every summer, it is cute to watch them compete for the nectar
