He had 6 wives, 43 kids, and was a Ugandan dictator. He ruled in the 1970’s, and is considered one of the most brutal dictators, with about 300000 deaths as his responsibility.

Also, regarding his overthrow, it’s kinda funny. He appointed Mustafa Adrisi as his Vice President, but the Uganda army has a loyalty split between Amin and Adrisi. (Adrisi wanted to purge Sudanese people from military). Amin did some pretty out of pocket things, and when Adrisi was flown to Egypt after a brutal car accident, Ugandas already collapsing economy and government (all of amins supporters started to fade) and Amin decided to strip Adrisi of his government titles, along with many others in government without Adrisi knowing

By the way , the cart accident is believed to be a purposeful and targeted assassination. Adrisi figured this out and his troops mutinied. Amin didn’t like that, so naturally he tried to kill them. He ended up killing Tanzanians and pro Adrisi troops fleeing over Tanzanian border, resulting in a border war, which he also blamed Adrisi and the Tanzanian president for. Pretty fycked up dude.

Notable actions: trying to kiłł own Vice President, trying to go to a boxing match with Tanzanian president to settle border war, levying Mummar Ghaddafi to help him not get invaded, trying to not get exiled.
