My theory is that rain world's atmosphere has a very high amount of oxygen, allowing giant creatures to thrive

It's also how giant arthropods can survive too

the thing is
in the previous room, there are two Cyan Lizards and two Orange Lizards
so it's likely that either you'll die or your squidcada will die before you get there

Usually the lizards are fighting tho so I can just sneak past or I just let go of the squidcada and fight one off if it gets near

there are several problems with letting go of the squidcada
1. a lizard could catch it
2. it could fly away and just not come back
3. you could accidentally hit it with a spear, killing it
4. it could get to a spot where you can't reach it, and it can just sit there for the entire cycle

ye but usually when a lizard attacks I just stab it and run while it's stunned

you could accidentally stab the squid
plus, lizards have a chance to instakill when biting a creature
also, the lizard could just leave
or if there are no lizards the squidcada will just leave

also, when using a squidcada, the squidcada can just decide to rest whenever it feels like it, so you'll probably have to abandon it sooner or later.
ALSO, squidcada are two-handed, so you can't carry anything to defend yourself with while holding one.

it's not frame or pixel perfect
and it's not really a speedrun maneuver, as far as i know
plus it's way easier
plus getting the squid wastes time
