You do have to remember that bipedal starters do have a tendency to be more popular, which would explain why gamefreak makes so many. Charizard, Typhlosion, Sceptile, Infernape, Greninja, Decidueye, Cinderace, and Meowscrada are all the most popular starters of their respective regions, and they all stand on two legs.
