I already have starter ideas, will share in comments

So here are the ideas:
A fire-flying type cardinal design that becomes fire-psychic upon final evolution, males are bright red, females are more brown, just like IRL
A grass type dog based on the dogwood tree, becomes grass-fairy upon final evolution
and a water type frog that becomes water-ground type upon evolution
