Sky the Pilot (No Man’s Sky oc I made before I ever read the series)
Sky tries to find Stardust by taking a highly specialized starship into the spacial anomaly they have been studying for sometime. It was just dead space, no matter in it besides all of the hacked sentinel warships fighting with the free sentinel ones. He’s able to maneuver his way through the battlefield to the jump point, which sends him into the trees on Pantala. After a crash with minor damage to the engine he encounters his first dragon. Obviously a human wearing space age armor meant to protect them from even the strongest of attacks would look a bit hostile, so the dragon attacks. Sky is extremely strong for a human due to the gravity difference, he’s able to push his fighter off the cliff which forces the auto repair system to fix the engine in free fall. Once the engine is online, he punches it, heading straight off the coast of Pantala nearing 100 miles an hour and climbing. After detecting the signal from the small receiver Stardust built, a friend over the comm channel suggests he heads for that signal. He has to deviate from course because several sentinel starfighters followed him, which is when he nearly runs into the party that went to Pantala to stop Wasp and the othermind. After he passes them, pretty low at sea level, the shields fall and one of the sentinel fighters hits the engine, causing the fighter to hit the sea and skid across the beach, breaching the hull and losing the distress beacon. With the engine still online and a temporary secondary shield in place to “fix” the hull, he shoots down the last fighter. Finally the engine overheats over icewing territory, which is where the ship makes its final and almost fatal crash. With no starship to cross the continent in, Sky (the Pilot, not the dragon) is forced to cross Pyhrria on the ground.

That’s the basic concept. Pretty much Fantasy meets Sci-fi at that point. It sounds bad so I’ll need to rework it obviously. The arc ends with Stardust finally being able to leave the star system.
