this is why i only play as hunter

I completed the game as survivor today and unlocked the dlc and now gourmand is my favorite

Sure, he's slow but he can literally cough up anything and make stuff with it

both of those are harder
plus they spawn in different areas, have different mechanics, and won't really help you once you start a new hunter run.
i suggest you do a hunter run now rather than later so that you're more prepared for the DP slugcats, as they're all more difficult than hunter (i think)

Ok, I might try a hunter run soon, it depends on how long it'll take

The gourmand isn't that difficult, some of his mechanics (like coughing up items) can actually make the game easier at times but the artificer is pretty much explody scavenger bullet hell

my longest hunter run was about 3 hours in total

i got max karma, visited pebbles, and revived moon
pebbles gives you 5 more cycles

I completed my first playthrough as the survivor in 80 cycles (I called the playthrough "around rain world in 80 cycles") so I just get worried ill be too slow and run out of cycles

i beat my first playthrough as monk in 57 cycles

I chose survivor because i was just annoyed that the monk could hardly do any damage and was forced to run from situations

i'm pretty sure i beat survivor in 62 or something cycles

I took so long because my tiny brain got stuck in the farm arrays because I went in the direction of the gate to the outskirts instead of the gate to the subterranean

quick note: hunter has enough starting karma to head to sky islands on cycle one
i suggest doing that

also, can you dodge the attacks of two King Vultures at once, and cause one of them to demask the other, leading to the KVs fighting each other, giving you an opportunity to escape

can you hit the body of a cyan lizard which is leaping directly at you face-first

can you kill a vulture with one spear (by repeatedly taking the spear out of its flesh and impaling it again) and take its mask and then drag its corpse onto worm grass that eats it

And then kill another vulture that comes out of the sky 30 seconds later the same way and take its mask too before jumping off its dead body to grab the horns of a rain deer

Also (playing as the gourmand) can you grapple onto a surface with a grappling worm after a white lizard grabs you with it's tounge and wait for the lizard to pull harder and build tension then detach the grappling worm so you get yeeted into the lizard and kill it by slamming into it (as you probably know, the gourmand can hurt or kill creatures by jumping from a high surface and slamming into them {the same happens in this scenario because the gourmand is moving really fast})
