Take Disney for example, before The Owl House, Gravity Falls was subject to heavy censorship. Some scenes were cut because the executives at Disney thought they were too gay.

Well that if they wanted china to air it at all considering their stance. You didn’t really see much in cartoons unless it’s South Park or other older content. Pass few years Disney has applied more in show.
Cyber six was old but still had a main char that pretended to be a dude that was really was a female super hero lol decent show then

But also in all honesty, I wouldn’t let my kid watch stuff like that anyways or listen/watch (whorish) pop music or rap. They have enough to focus on and they’ll likely be exposed to it at school. Teen years would be a better bet
