Oh, now I get it. The only reason you’re defending polyamory is because you are part of it. Sure, a love triangle is an interesting concept for a book, (think Rex and pyra/mythra and nia from xenoblade -obscure reference, I know-) but I think it is very impractical in real life. I don’t mean to offend you, and if that’s what you and your partner(s) decide, that’s fine. Just don’t offer it as a solution for every relationship. OP or their partner may not be okay with something like that. I’ve been emotionally cheated upon before and it is the most terrible feeling in the world.

That is why I suggested to bring it up and talk about it, to see if they were ok with it. It’s ok if you aren’t, but you shouldn’t be disrespectful to those who are. That is all I’m saying. Plus, if they asked, and you denied it, and they still did it anyways that IS cheating. And I’m sorry you have been cheated on.
