The country is already divided. Leftists should be cheering for a national divorce. If you leftists had your own country, you'd be able to do all the things you'd want to do. Without having to riot every other month. You could take away everyone's guns. No more supreme court. No more cops. You could print all the money you want. Socialism. You could fund all the never-ending wars you want. No more fascism, racism, or authoritarianism.
