You hadn't seen them in action yet, so there was no way to know if they would be good or not

but the actors look completely different to how they are described in the book. annabeth is literally described as a looking like a stereotypical California girl

Yeah but judging someone on their looks isn't nice. I do wish we could get a completely book-accurate adaptation, but if Rick Riordan thinks they are right for the job, we should trust him on that since he's the author. Also, I think it's necessary to give the actors as much support as we can, because the actor for Annabeth has received a bunch of death threats for being black.

If you look at the interviews and information concerning the series, Rick did say he wanted to add things that he couldn't add in the book. He does have a lot of control over the process, and he said he chose the actors, not anyone else. Tell me, are you critiquing the actors based on what they look like? That is racist, my friend.

bruh READ!! I literally said it up there! I'm not being racist! I'm critiquing the cast for a tv show that is SUPPOSED TO BE ACCURATE TO THE BOOKS!! this is NOT accurate to the books. I'm not crapping on the show itself, it think its okay, although they did mess up a lot of crap on A SHOW THATS SUPPOSED TO BE ACCURATE TO THE BOOKS!!!!!!!

There isn't really a way to guarantee that a show can be completely accurate to the books, and we've been blessed compared to the movies. The more important thing is that it has the heart and soul of the books, rather than how it looks.
