Another mushroom I found on my walk today. Details in comments

This funky mushroom is called Wood-Ear (Auricularia auricula-judae) is usually found on dead ash, elder, spindler, or beech tree branches. This mushroom is commonly found from fall through winter.

This mushroom is edible but should be cooked (Like every other mushroom out there) and is not very tasty. I would recommend eating this mushroom if you really have to

Yeah these mushrooms are definitely one of a kind. They have a consistency of jelly
