This is from the OLD days, so I'll explain:
“Hey Rube!” is a rallying cry used by circus and carnival workers who find themselves in a serious confrontation with customers.
During WW2, that phrase was also used as an emergency radio call from US aircraft carriers finding themselves under attack from enemy aircraft.
In others words, a brawl is about to happen!
