America was established as a ethnocentric plutocracy, which makes sense to me, but was a term I learned on this stream. It means only land owner aka rich white people were allowed to vote. I find that it was designed not to perfect, but to morph and change over time in the pursuit of a “more perfect” union. People who say America has never been worse should look around. I’m not saying it’s perfect but look who is allowed to vote, look who is making laws now.

That being said though, I also believe we are in danger of this MAGA insurrection. There are plenty of things that make me nervous. We are walking a line right now between almost making it and almost simping ourselves out.
