Jordan Mailata played Australian rules rugby, not American football in college. He only started playing football right before being drafted by the eagles.

Jordan Mailata didn't play AFL, he played in the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs' Under 18s team in 2015, but didn't end up in the NRL as he did have heart problems but its all clear.
