Basically what is is is a type i’m calling

At least for now-
Its a wildcard type!
It can either give a Pokémon the additional type of Prism or evolve it and give it another type of attack!
The attacks it can give are:
Random type and power level attack (a clefairy could get a fire type attack and even if its like- level 1 could have a level 5 power attack)
Or
A combined attack from another Pokémon on your team! (Example: ground type attack from a geodude + Prism + a glaceon’s ice type attack: a snowball with rocks in it attack? (Attacks are not fixed to the Prism Pokémon and the first combined attack Pokémon, they can be changed so again Example: Geodude can pair up with a fire type Pokémon or a grass type or a fairy type or literally any other Pokémon on your team

An emotion altering attack (may be a calming one, a confusion attack, or a happy, sad, angry, etc) usually the emotions line up with the type!
like water and ice types will most likely get sad attacks
while fire would get anger
fairy is love or happiness
and ground or normal is calming
psychic types will most commonly get confusion or a stronger version of any other emotion
Idk about any other specific emotions per type-
The stone for Prism is a clear stone (usually in the shape of a prism of some kind (triangular, rectangular, etc) but can be natural and more organic shapes! and has swirls of rainbows in it and when evolving or adding a type to a Pokémon it will blast rainbow light everywhere.
The way to tell if a Pokémon has a Prism type or not is if there are extra colors on it!
When just adding the type to a Pokémon it will add anywhere from 1 (rare) to 3 (more common) colors. And whenever the Pokémon evolves with the Prism typing it gets 2 extra colors :)
If there was a game based around this Pokémon type it would be called Pokémon Multicolor!
The basic plot of it would be you are in a new region where everything is very colorful but there is a Team Rocket style bad guy group with all dark and ghost type Pokémon that wants to make things around this region dull and sad! You work for a professor (idk a name or design for them yet) that has just found out how to make a new Pokémon type: Prism! They give you a few Prism stones and a choice between 3 starters that are all like the basic starters in other games (grass, fire, water) but with an added Prism type! Your job is to battle the bad guys and each time you do the slowly dull turning world gets
