This one is a continuation of a different roleplay line I started in Pantala,

Bloodworm- hm

Maple: very nice. But how does it—

Jade: don’t mind us.

Autumn: we’re gonna need some bandages or something. He cut himself up pretty good.

*He was bleeding from his face and forearms, some of the blood was soaking up in the unrefined blindfold*

Autumn: I don’t want to cause an infection. If one of you could hold him, for me, I could weave while I walk.

Maple: argh… fine. *she holds him where Autumn was, Autumn began to try to weave more silk as she walked. It was slower than just staying where she was, but at least you all could keep moving*

Bloodworm- I'm going to keep this geode...oh hey autumn did you see the geode?

Autumn: you can show me in a second. *she’s still weaving bandages using her own silk*

Jade: did you ever stop and think what we would do with these bandages?

Autumn: we could burn them once we find an open area.

Maple: sure, let’s send a huge signal of “hey! Here we are! Come and get us Queen Wasp” so she can kill us.

Autumn: it’s better than just leaving them around.

Bloodworm- you could hide them in the caves

Maple: that would just leave a trail for them to follow.

Bloodworm- yeah true

Maple: our best bet is to find a place to hide them, which if found would leave a trail anyway, but it’s better than throwing them in the water. Who knows, maybe the elusive scavengers will take them.

Jade: what? Aren’t those the weird monkeys with only fur on their heads?

Maple: yep, you’ve seen them?

Jade: I had my metamorphosis in the caves, I thought I saw one up in one of the ledges.

*Autumn takes Maple’s spot again, who then take’s Jade’s spot to give her a break*

Autumn: maybe you did see one.

Bloodworm- ooo I want to see a scavenger!

Maple: maybe we can look for one when we’re not running for our lives.

Bloodworm- yeah!

Maple: wait a minute.. I FORGOT!

Jade; what!?

*Maple looks at your new Hivewing friend before whispering it in Jade’s ear*

Jade: oh that’s not good.

Autumn: what?

???: if this has something to do with the breath of evil, I’m all ears.

Maple: first of all, why is it so special?

???: I was going to get to that, I accidentally found some while wandering through one of the greenhouses. I have a habit of going places where I’m not supposed to. Sometimes it helps with my studies, sometimes.. well.. I find some really concerning things. *he takes a sample out of his bag, and sure enough, it’s a dead breath of evil root* So um, I was allowed to run a few experiments on it. This plant can infect any creature who eats it. Getting pricked by its thorns in some variants also infects the creature. Breathing in the smoke it yields when burned will infect the creature. Once the creature is infected, its primary function will be to spread the plant’s seeds and only stop when it drops dead.

Jade: what in Pantala?

???: weird stuff right? I’ve never seen a plant act this way.

Maple: why is Wasp growing them in a green house if they’re that dangerous?

Autumn: probably something that benefits her. If it’s useful to her, she keeps them.

*somehow he still hasn’t noticed Maple having no antennae, nor has he notice she only has two wings, he’s probably just oblivious*

Bloodworm- hmmm...control...wait! Queen wasp uses the plant for CONTROL!

???: that’s what I was thinking. Somehow she figured out a way to control us hivewings with it and infected us.

Maple: so we just need to kill enough of this plant and your minds would be free?

???: I’m not sure that’s quite how that works. It might work in theory, but I don’t think it will. Also, keep in mind that hivewings nature probably won’t change.. Wasp has been our queen for a while and many are more used to her being in their brains all the time. And one thing dragons don’t like very much is change. And killing the plant safely without being infected.. that’s difficult.

Jade: so you have plan to deal with it?

???: no, I don’t. I don’t know how to destroy the plant safely and efficiently. I’m not sure it’s just as simple as a dragon going through and cutting them all back of finding a way to uproot it.

Bloodworm- ...leave...we might just have to leave the continent...maybe other continents have anyway to deal with this plant.

Maple: this seems a little outlandish.

Jade: it might be best just to kill wasp.

???: who knows, all I know is I think this plant is causing all of the trouble and making hivewings easy to— *he collapses, clutching his head, he starts clawing at himself, he’s even drawing blood. His voice is fluctuating between his and someone else’s* GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!

Queen Wasp’s voice (I’m not good at role playing villains or main characters); TRAITOR!

*one eye is white the other is normal, Maple instinctively goes to kill him him but Autumn uses her stinger to paralyze him, stopping Maple. Both eyes are closed when he’s paralyzed.*

Autumn: he’s never done that before.

Jade: what do you mean?

Autumn: he’s never been controlled by the Queen.. ever. Even when it’s serious and a silkwing is running from the hivewings.

Maple: you’re saying this is new?

Jade: you probably haven’t been around him long enough to know that.

Autumn: I’ve known him for a pretty long time. *she starts using her own silk to weave a blindfold for the Hivewing now*

Maple: this is a huge risk, can I just—

Autumn: no! I want to figure out what happened to him!

Bloodworm- yeah I want to figure it out too...and why I'm not controlled...

Maple: … I guess he’ll have plenty of time to explain if Wasp doesn’t control him for days on end.

Autumn: I guess it wasn’t smart to say that we were considering fleeing the continent when Queen Wasp could be there at any time.

Bloodworm- I hope...

*you come to a fork in the cave system*

Maple: … I think this cave over here gets us close to the-

Autumn: *interrupting her so she doesn’t give away their location* it’s almost nightfall.

Maple: what?

Jade: she’s right, it’s sunset right now.

*maple looks confused at them for second before realizing again that they had an extra dragon who had a link to Queen Wasp*

Maple: we’re still moving, we can’t afford to stop.

Autumn: never said I was tired. Did you forget-

Maple: yeah, I forgot I was helping you carry a Hivewing.

Bloodworm- oh yeah...

Autumn: you’ll probably know these caves better than I do.

Maple: I don’t. I’m going based off their general direction.

Jade: we don’t want to get trapped down here.

Maple: we won’t. *she keeps trying to extend her range of her leafspeak, she was never really good at it but she had been training. It might save them from getting lost*

Bloodworm- hmmm...*looks down the two caves* if one has a slight breeze then that one leads to the outside but if the other one doesn't it either goes farther or is a dead end...

*there is no breeze at all from either cave, one turns north and the other runs straight. There was a third cave on a small ledge nearby but it was too small for a dragon to fit in.*

Maple: I think we go this way. It runs in the right direction.

Bloodworm- hmmm ok then...

*Maple and Autumn carry her Hivewing friend up through the cave in the right. Jade follows behind while she uses her flamesilk as a light source and ties a strand around her horns*

Bloodworm- *looking at the rocks in the cave *

Jade; … we should rest soon.

Maple: here is good enough I think. *she stops, Autumn and Maple set the Hivewing down*

Bloodworm- ok! *Stretches*

*the three dragons fly off the cliff edge and and disappear into a cavern before anyone else saw them*

Bloodworm- *follows them into the cave* so...I guess the hive has some plans as well.

*they go decently far into the cave to make sure they aren’t caught, they don’t even realize their being followed until the one with the cape turns around*

???: who’s there!

Bloodworm- I'm here...

???: Bloodworm? *Sounds like Maple, she appears to be with Autumn and Jade*

Bloodworm- yeah? It's me I'm here

Maple: … stay back. I want to make sure it’s really you.

Autumn: it’s him. Whenever the queen is controlling a Hivewing, it’s usually the Queen’s voice.

Maple: the key word being “usually.”

*Autumn sighs, because she’s the only one with a stinger, she goes to check on you and make sure you aren’t being controlled*

Bloodworm- hi autumn! *Waves*

Autumn: hello.

Jade: *whispering to Maple* why is she the one going?

Maple: *whispering back* she’s the only one of us who could subdue a friendly dragon being controlled by Wasp without killing them. Or at least that’s what I’m assuming based on her stinger on her tail.

Autumn: … his eyes are fine, I can stick with him in case something happens though.

Jade: no, come here. If Queen Wasp starts to control him, we’ll figure something out.

Bloodworm- can I come? Did I scare you guys?

Autumn: of me, I don’t have flamesilk.

Jade: you could probably still catch up with her. She just left.

Bloodworm- yeah...I will be back In a minute. *Follows maple*

*you catch up to Maple at the cavern entrance. It’s just you and Maple now. She’s unsure whether or not to trust you, but she decides to. You both leave the cavern and fly up the side of the cliff. Maple pokes her head up above the ground to see the River and the poison jungle*

Maple: they’re all just waiting.. why? *she looks over to the forest* What are they planning?

Bloodworm- I'm not sure...it's weird and creepy

*to make a minimal amount of noise, Maple grabbed on to the cliff edge and let her wings rest. She pulled herself up just far enough so that she could look over at the jungle without moving too much.*

Maple: this is a bit more dangerous, but alright.

*you both see smoke*

Maple: what in Pantala..? Is this another burn raid?

Autumn: what do you think is going on up there?

Jade: let’s head back incase the coast is clear and we can move forward.

*they begin to make their way back to the entrance now*

Maple: …

*the smoke gets thicker, it doesn’t quite reach you yet*

???: get down now!

Maple: wh—

*you barely have time to react, or even see what the dragon was, he pulled you both back to the cavern and pushed you both back inside, far enough in that the smoke wouldn’t reach you. He then turned around to make sure no dragons followed him inside, he was breathing heavily, but so were you and Maple after he frightened you.*

Bloodworm- what in the three moons!?

*After taking a second to look at the dragon you see a Hivewing.. a normal hivewing, Maple seemed surprised. At the very least, they weren’t being controlled by Wasp… yet.. They looked about Jade’s age*

???: .. is everyone alright?

Maple: UH, EXCUSE YOU. WHATS WRONG WITH YOU?

???: well I wasn’t expecting a thank you.. *he was carrying a bag* it does seem odd to force a few dragons underground because of smoke, but if you knew what was burning, you would have been down here a lot sooner.

Maple: BY THE TR— .. *she caught herself* BOOK, WHAT DO YOU MEAN?

???: how do I explain..

Maple: How about let’s start with who you are and how you got here.

???: just don’t get near me if the Queen starts controlling me or something. *he said that with fear, maybe he’s not used to it*

Maple: … *trying to remain calm and in disguise* ok..?

Bloodworm- what is that smoke from?

???: ever heard of the breath of evil plant or whatever its called? I think that is what they’re burning, it’s coming from the jungle side of the river.

Maple: how do you know this?

???: I can explain but we should go further into the cave.

Bloodworm- uh ok...I think I've heard of that plant

Maple: a friend of mine thought he found it in the wild once while delivering supplies to one of the hives. *completely lie given that she is a leafwing*

???: lucky I guess. I found a sample while accidentally wandering around one of the greenhouses and got permission to experiment with it. I swear, every time I somewhere where I’m not supposed to, I find the most worrying things. Wasp hive is so weird some times.

*Maple’s eyes go wide for second out of realization. This dragon was that close to compromising the theft of the book, all because he just wanted to wander around a greenhouse, either this dragon is stupid or just oblivious to everything around him*

Maple: alright, let’s go before the smoke catches up and we breath it since you’re so worried about it.

Bloodworm- how do we get away from the smoke? Were blocked in...

???: smoke rises up. They would need to burn something in the cave for it to get to use. Hot air rises, cooler air sinks to the ground. A few traces might get in here as it cools down, but generally we should be okay. Hopefully this cavern connects to another cave. There is probably a whole network of cave connections if we look in the right places.

Maple: how do you know this?

???: well, I don’t, there has to be something under Pantala, right? It can’t all be dead ends.

Bloodworm- I mean it could or the holes are too small for us to fit...

???: it’s worth a shot. Better than waiting here for them to leave.

Maple: alright.. fine. We’ll go with you.

Bloodworm- yeah...what your name by the way?

???: well I’m— (I don’t really have a name for them yet.. sorry)

*Autumn and Jade catch up*

Autumn: what are you doing here?!

???: Autumn, you’re okay?

Autumn: yep.

???: that’s good.

*Maple and Jade look at each other confused*

Bloodworm- wait you two know each other???

Autumn: remember when I said I made some friends? This is the only good Hivewing from Bloodworm hive.

???: I helped cover up the escape a little bit. They found out after a few days anyways, but at least it gave you a head start.

Bloodworm- ooo cool!

Maple: what?

Bloodworm- oh uh nothing...just hoping to find out why I haven't been controlled yet...that's about i...and hoping we can all get out of here alive...

Maple: … yeah, alright.. *she sighs* it’s probably best to stop talking. We’ll need to leave your friend behind.. it’s too risky. Especially if Wasp can hear us while he’s paralyzed.

Autumn: I don’t care, I’m bringing him with us..

*Autumn puts the unrefined blindfold on the new Hivewing for when he’s not paralyzed anymore.*

Jade: Autumn, I don’t think this is a good idea.

Autumn: I know, it isn’t… I just want to help him.

*Jade signals everyone it’s time to go. You don’t have a lot of time before Wasp realizes where you are*

Bloodworm- *whispers* we really need to go...

*everyone begins moving further into the cave. Autumn looks back at her friend and decides she can’t leave him, so she drags the paralyzed Hivewing with her, Jade looks back to see her carrying the defenseless Hivewing and sighs, running back to help her carry him*

Bloodworm- I'm going to walk ahead to try and find a route out of here

Maple: I’ll walk with you. Your the only Hivewing I trust right now since as far as I know, the can’t control you. *she look back* Oh Pantala.. what are those silkwings doing?

Bloodworm- ok then...*sees a rock formation* ooo look!

Maple: what?

Bloodworm- it's a rare rock form! *Picks up the rock and breaks it in two pieces and it has blue and green crystals in it* it's called a geode!

Maple: let’s go.

*you all began to run, you all know you hadn’t slept for even 20 minutes*

Maple: so what happened to this icewing anyway?

???: … I.. I guess you deserve to know.

Autumn: so tell us.

Bloodworm- what icewing?

(Wrong tribe my bad, should say Hivewing)

Bloodworm- huh?

???: I.. got caught for distracting the guards at the base of the hive for Autumn’s escape. Normally they wouldn’t care but they realized a silkwing was missing.

Maple: I know that’s not all of it, go on..

Bloodworm- *seemed very intrigued*

???: … I was sent to capture Autumn but I ended up attempting to run. I guess they thought I was just innocent or something, not even the Queen ended up checking up on me.

Autumn: what?

???: I ran in to all of you by chance.

Jade: something isn’t right, were you controlled by the Queen before?

*dead silence*

Maple: well..?

???: ..no, they realized I couldn’t be controlled by the Queen a week ago. I had no family growing up and I often hid from the hivewings when someone was running from them.

Maple: .. is there anything more?

Bloodworm- wow...

???: let’s just focus on getting to our destination.. it’s hard with this blindfold on to know where I am going and talk at the same time.

Maple: I’ll have questions for you later.

*Jade’s flamesilk is the only thing providing light. Its warm glow made everyone feel a little more comfortable.*

Maple: how much farther do you think we need to go? *she looks worried*

Jade: who knows.

Maple: *looking at the Hivewing laying on the ground, Autumn covers his ears*… I have a feeling we’re going to get to the jungle and find the whole thing burning..

Jade: we’ll find a way to save it if that happens.

Maple: it’s not that.. if they succeed, I’m might be the last leafwing alive. Or the last free leafwing if what that Hivewing said was right.. *she looked up* I wonder what’s going on up there…

Autumn: I can’t imagine they would be waiting this long for something.

Bloodworm- yeah

Maple: …

Jade: let’s stay here for an hour or two and try to get some sleep. We’re going to need it.

Maple: … alright.

Autumn: most likely less time than two hours. Im not sure how much we can afford.

Maple; not like they’re gonna search the caves anyway. They have a better prize than 5 dragons right now.

Bloodworm- yeah...well I'm going to sleep and feel free to wake me up whenever we need to get moving again...*yawns and lays down*

Maple: …

Jade: Maple, relax, I’m sure an hour won’t affect us.

Maple: a few seconds can make a difference when your Queen is hunting the rest of us down.

Autumn: she’s right, but we can afford to rest for an hour before we move again. They shouldn’t be advancing through that quickly given how thick it is. Besides, Jade mentioned there were dragon eating plants.

Maple: that’s not gonna stop them. But you’re right, they should buy us some time. Ugh.. some of them are gruesome and slow deaths… *she tries to rest knowing how the Hivewing army above may be slowed down*

Bloodworm- *goes to sleep*

*you all eventually fall asleep*

*Autumn woke you up. The Hivewing was now sleeping next to Maple, which was odd considering the two tribe differences. The Hivewing venom in Autumn must have not been as strong as a normal hivewing’s. Maple woke up to find the Hivewing next to her sleeping and instinctively jumped back into you. Autumn woke you up first because she thought it was funny and wanted to show you.*

Maple: AAH…

Autumn: *laughing* the two of you looked cute together.

Maple: that was not funny! *Waking Jade up*

Jade: huh?

Autumn: I should have woken you up too, it was funny.

Bloodworm- *laughing* hehe that was funny

Jade: you mean that Hivewing sleeping next to you? He woke me up when he got up. He started feeling the walls to make sure he was still in a cave, then he nearly tripped over you. He must have felt you and assumed you were someone else. I heard him even say sorry.

Maple: *Grumbling* you could have woken me up so I could have moved.

Jade: you looked tired so I let you rest.

Maple: *sighing* alright, I see why.

Jade: trust me, you’ll be laughing about it later.

Maple: I guess, now let’s get moving. *she shakes the Hivewing awake*

???: hm..?

Maple: we’re leaving. Let’s go. *that sounded harsh*

???: … *he got up, he almost began walking in the wrong direction when Autumn turned him around* thanks.

Autumn: we’ve still got a ways to go. It’ll be easier now that I’m not carrying you.

Maple; we need to hurry now. I’m not sure how much time we have.

Bloodworm- yeah we should hurry

Maple: well my eyes haven’t quite adjusted yet.

Jade: it’s just dark in here, we thought you were one of Queen Wasps hivewings who saw us

Bloodworm- oops sorry

Jade: it’s our mistake, I know it’s not your fault.

Bloodworm- oh ok. *Smiles*

Autumn: even if you were being controlled by the queen, it’s not like you have control over yourself when that happens anyway. With that being said, do we have a plan to avoid the hivewings being controlled by Wasp that are right above us?

Maple: well my plan to meet up with Sumac to discuss what we do next has to be scrapped, he’s probably wondering if I got caught.

Jade: alright, so our new options are trying to find an exit leading into then poison jungle from here or heading to another hive, or waiting them out.

Autumn: third option: we take a risk and fly across the sea, hopefully they won’t notice us. Maybe there is another continent we can run too.

Bloodworm- a new continent? *Gasps* I wonder what other dragons there are!? *Makes happy noises*

Jade: hopefully they’re nicer than the ones here.

Maple: … I’m wondering if they just spotted me and found out my tribe existed because I got sloppy or it was because of something else.

Autumn: again, I heard that three dragons stole the book of Clearsight before you came and got me.

Jade: I just realized I never asked, how did you know about that when no one else did? Queen Wasp would have kept that information from reaching anyone else.

Autumn: I… may have made some friends at Bloodworm. I’m also assuming you came for me before that happened.

Maple: so it wasn’t that bad?

Autumn: it was still pretty bad. *she looked traumatized at the thought of Bloodworm hive*

Bloodworm- oh...I hope we can save the silkwings...they are very friendly.

Maple: are chances are dying out now though. Hang on, I’ll go check to see if they are still there.

Autumn: maybe I should. I look friendly enough, and I won’t get caught for flamesilk.

Maple: no, you stay here. *she heads back to the entrance*

Bloodworm- I probably should have checked...I look the most normal to hivewings.
