Vampiric dragons basically. They can take the energy of one thing and give it to something else or store it in crystals was the concept.

Lmao no but I should add one. That ability is a bit overpowered. Or at least take some power away from the ability itself.

Plot hook: Main characters have to find object that shoos away vampire dragons before they conquer the continent

Actually my plot was invader scavengers (humans) from Pyhrria were accidentally blown off course to Pantala during the scorching and landed there. The native scavengers were on good terms with the dragons and they actually worked together, albeit more with Spiritwings rather than Leechwings due to the whole “soul bonding” concept I thought of while taking inspiration from other books. When coming across the new dragons, the invaders were obviously afraid of them and attacked, so the unprepared dragons and scavengers fled further into the continent. The invaders were able to carve out a nice chunk of land and declare their kingdom before anyone was able to retaliate.

sounds interesting, but I don't think the scavengers rn are advanced enough to fight dragons directly. They can protect themselves with bows and ballistas, but their not much powerful on a moving target

still sounds cool tou :)

Yeah, that’s my problem. The only part that logically makes sense is that they would need to have a main base of operations first before expanding. And dragons are normally quick to retaliate against such an attack. Especially with the amount of BS both dragon species can pull from concept abilities. Moreover, to kill a dragon with practically nothing but swords + bows and arrows, all warriors would have to be very skilled. What would be more likely is they would probably begin setting up a port or capital city before anyone noticed. Once a dragon did see them, they would probably become interested in what was going on, maybe call a few dragons/humans over to help investigate, and that would be the initial attack. Which would probably result in the kingdom collapsing before they could even expand. Or they would need to discover something that would allow them to become more advanced than everyone else. Otherwise, logically it doesn’t make sense since they wouldn’t be able to defend themselves without a bow or ballista, and they don’t appear to be advanced enough for anything like canons to work. However, precise shots through the eyes could be an option.

how bout some scavengers get some magic and become wizards. But its limited magic, so they cant go "every dragon on this planet will slice their own throat" kina thing. They could enchant weapons and gear, and give ballistas magic projectiles, like what Claudia does in The Dragon Prince

Never read The Dragon Prince. But I think that is a good idea where they find something that allows them to use limited magic. Even then though, Spiritwings could wipe them off the map because their concept had them naturally be magic/mage/wizard dragons (their way of getting around Jerboa’s spell preventing magic. Essentially their magic dragons aren’t called animuses though their power is also limited unless soul bound).

Ok lol. I would ask for a streaming service… but I’m probably too old for a show like that.

Idk I’m 17, you could tell me what it’s on and I’ll see. Even then I have a habit of not watching shows I say I’m going to watch. The only two times I followed through was the first two seasons of Red vs Blue and part of Owl House

it’s on Netflix, but I get that feeling. Some shows are good, but they can get boring pretty quick
